Fun with the Whole Family

As parents of twins, we love to visit all of the family friendly options that St. Louis has to offer in the summer. Here’s just a few of our favorites.

Historic Daniel Boone Home

1868 Hwy F, Defiance, MO

Guided tours are less than $10/person and are well informed and interesting. Kids have lots of space to run and the guides encourage and are attentive to their questions. Small café on site.

Missouri History Museum in Forest Park

5700 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis

General entrance is free and exhibits change regularly. Very hands on and family friendly! The 1904 World’s Fair exhibit and the two galleries of the Seeking St. Louis exhibit are both interesting and interactive.

City Museum

701 N. 15th St.

St Louis, MO 63103

A fabulous, non-traditional, brainchild of a sculptor. Our twins after going this summer declared this to be the coolest museum ever! Admission is about $12/person.

Don’t forget about Forest Park! There are walking trails, lovely places to picnic, and end the day with a paddle boat ride from the boat house, http://www.boathouseforestpark.com/boat-rental.php.
