Just because it’s getting cold inside doesn’t mean that should keep you in! St. Louis and West County offer a plethora of indoor and outdoor activities for the winter break.
Kick off the holidays at the popular Christmas in St. Louis parade on Thanksgiving Day and Festival of Lights.
Downtown St. Louis has special features during the holiday season. Head out to the Gardenland Express at the Missouri Botanical Gardens to ride through 900 feet of track and view beautiful Poinsettias.
And take a walk on the wild side at the St. Louis Zoo’s Wild Lights display.
Or if Chesterfield is closer to you, visit the Winter Jewels at the Butterfly house for butterfly and winter themed crafts every weekend from 10-2PM.
If Wildwood is closer to home, there is a Holiday Balloon Glow which features a 4-story hot air balloon, horse drawn carriage rides, pictures with Santa and more! Meet in the plaza behind city hall on Dec 7th at 6:00 pm.
If you live in Ballwin perhaps you’ll be interested in the Holiday Festival on December 11th from 9-2PM located at the Pointe. It’s a free event where you can make crafts in Santa’s Workshop!
Looking for spectacular holiday light shows? West County offers many venues including O’Fallon’s Celebration of Lights which features car rides, carriage rides, train rides and even sleigh rides!
Many of St. Louis’ national parks hold light shows as well including Tilles Park’s Winter Wonderland which stays open until January 1st.
As well as Jellystone Park located in Eureka which features Santa’s Magical Kingdom and is always sure to impress even the fullest car load of family!
Whatever you choose to do – tell Dowco about it and have fun!
Happy Holidays!
